Forgiveness is divine and it gives you a chance to be a better person.
We've all been treated poorly, hurt, disappointed and or experienced some heartache at some point in our lives.
Within us, we develop feelings ranging from hopeless despair, to raging anger that often times, can lead to explosive situations.
We harden up and tend to build an impermeable wall around us in attempt to protect ourselves from any future hurt.
The problem is that unresolved past pain may cause us to lose trust and often become overly suspicious and withdrawn.
We end up drifting farther and farther away from who we truly are.
However, identifying with the pain and making it a part of who we are, is not the answer.
That's where forgiveness comes in.
You may ask but why should I forgive? My pain is legitimate I was wronged .. But is that the best way to live your life?
Remaining in "blame mode", unable to forgive others, only ends up hurting us - we pay the ultimate price!
Ask yourself: is it worth it for me? Is this who I want to be?
Forgiveness is an essential part of any human relationship, without it, there isn't much hope that any relationship can survive.
Renewing trust is not just a decision—it’s a lifestyle change. It's about letting go and becoming yourself again.
Forgiveness doesn't mean that you subject yourself to more suffering, but in actuality, you free yourself in the process.
