HOW TO CHANGE THE WAY I FEEL

Reality is entirely based upon our interpretation of it.

Once we are locked in our understanding, we have no choice but to see only what we see.

The bad news is that it's the interpretation that causes us the anxiety not the actual thing that happened.

The good news is that we CAN change what we think, feel and do.

Life in itself has no meaning, it only has the meaning we choose to assign to it.

"Life is hard, life is beautiful "- our interpretation -

Here's a tool you can use: the moment you catch yourself interpreting anything ask yourself these 4 questions:

1- Is it true?
Can I be 100% certain that my interpretation is true?

2- Does my interpretation make me happy or sad?

3- How else can I see this situation?

4 - which one will I choose?

In essence, we are asking the mind to expand itself, so we can begin to embrace other possibilities.

Once we see the situation, place, or person differently, generally the new interpretation will make us feel better.

Then we can ask ourselves: do I want to go with the old interpretation  that caused me stress or do I want to go with the new interpretation?

Do I want to walk around angry blaming the whole world for the way I feel?

It may seem odd at first, because we have been thinking the same way, sometimes, even for decades ...

However, holding grudges and feeling badly about anything is not conducive to having a happy and fulfilling life.

NO ONE except ourselves is responsible for the way we feel!
