"Life is ten percent of what happens to you and ninety percent of how you respond to it." Lou Holtz
In life, we sometimes find ourselves facing situations within the family system, work related, etc, which we have no control over.
We end up feeling helpless knowing there's nothing we can do to fix things.
We didn't cause the occurrence, therefore, we cannot cure it or control it.
When we are unable to change the situations we are being challenged to change ourselves; How we respond to what's happening around us.
The only thing we can control is how we choose to react; we can decide not to allow it to affect our life.
We need to set boundaries; I am not going to be responsible for something I didn't create.
I am detaching my self from the consequences.
True freedom is having the ability to maintain inner peace despite the external chaos and turmoil occurring around us.
We must constantly remind ourselves that although it may not always seem that way, everything that occurs happens for the best.
We must let go of the need to control what is beyond our control; Accept things as they are, and always strive for the very best.
We must not allow tension and worry to take over us, knowing it is completely useless and we will only end up hurting ourselves making things worse than they already are.
When things turn out badly, we can offer our help, provide support and encouragement, and be as empathetic as we possibly can.
In order for us to proceed forward, we must acknowledge the existence of the situation, understand our limits, and do what's in our power; Change your perspective and transcend beyond life's imperfections.
