We spend much of our time worrying.
At times we have a good reason to be concerned, and at other times it's our natural survival instincts that awakens in us, so we could protect ourselves.
Either way, it isn't a healthy state to be in for long periods of time.
Here are some effective ways to lower our levels of concern:
• Breath - deeply and slowly (we sometimes forget to breath...)
• Assessing facts - ask yourself, am I facing a clear and present danger? What am I really worried about?
• Keep yourself occupied - shift your focus elsewhere.
• Reality check - how much truth is in your worry, how much is your imagination.
• Be present - limit your thoughts only to what is happening in the moment.
• Don't forget to smile - trust that everything has a reason; whatever your concerned with will eventually pass.
When facing an issue that seems unsolvable, try looking at it from a different perspective - it may produce the answers you've been seeking ~
